Great news for our Catholic friends

First of all we want to remind you that God loves you and He wants you to learn how to deepen your relationship with Him.

St. Peters Basilica

God has over the years introduced many great programs to the Catholic Church and very few people have responded to His effort. Many of these programs have been introduced through the Charismatic ministries of the Catholic Church. Due to the fact that not all of the churches have had the Charismatic programs, those people would not be aware of what is available to them.

There are books and study guides like, Finding New Life in the Spirit, that was printed and circulated in 1972. Many other attempts have been made to get the attention of the Catholic people to help them become aware that their Heavenly Father and their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ want a personal relationship with them as an individual.

Since most of you have a Catholic approved Bible in your home we can share with you some of the Great information God has for you. Please open your Bible to the index. First, you will find that your Bible is divided into two parts, the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament describes the creation of the earth, the creation of man and the many covenants that God had made with man and, as always, how man broke his side of the covenants.

The Old Testament also includes the prophecies concerning the 1st coming of the Messiah, God’s Son, who is our Savior.

During the Old Testament time God chose a people and He gave them instructions and provision to live a life that would be very noticeable to the other nations that they were set apart and serving the one and only true God. This nation called Israel failed as humans fail; the people wanted to “do their own thing” and live their lives the way they wanted to. The Israelites are a basic example of human nature which means, all of us want to due what we want to do.

Our Catholic friend, here is the GREAT NEWS for you. Throughout the Old Testament, God was preparing a way for you to receive eternal life. There are more than 300 prophecies in the Old Testament predicting the first coming of God’s son Jesus Christ. These prophecies told of the virgin birth, Jesus’ ministry, His arrest and beating by the Roman soldiers, then His crucifixion on the cross and finally, on the third day, Jesus arose from the grave. I Corinthians 15:1

All of these prophesies of Jesus’ first coming and the crucifixion and the resurrection were fulfilled in every detail in the New Testament.

While Jesus was hanging on the cross He said, “It is finished” just before He died. What that statement means to us is that everything that God requires for us to be cleansed from sin and to be made into right standing with Himself was completed with Jesus fulfilling all of the prophecies concerning Him in the Old Testament.

Now would you look at the New Testament? This is where the GREAT NEWS is for you. It begins with the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The gospel of Luke has a more descriptive presentation of the virgin birth of Jesus, God’s only begotten son. The gospel of John is the more intimate gospel because Jesus is laying out the Father’s heart so that we can see how much God loves us. In the 17th chapter of John, Jesus said, “The Heavenly Father loves you as much as He loves His son Jesus”. John 17:19-23

In John chapter 3:1-21, Jesus told a religious leader that we must be born again to receive eternal life. If we are not born again we do not have eternal life. Then in John chapter 4:21-24. Jesus said, “God is a spirit and He is looking for people to worship Him in spirit and in truth”

And on the night of the Last Supper, Jesus said, “ When He goes home to Heaven, He and the Father are going to send the Holy Spirit back to earth to live in us when we become born again. The person of the Holy Spirit, that will be living in us, will guide, lead and teach us”.

Dear Catholic friend, this is the GREAT NEWS for you. You have all of this very exciting information right at your fingertips, right there, in your own Bible.

Can you say WOW with us? You can recieve eternal live and begin your personal relationship with God right now. You can develop your progressive growth by choosing to start reading your Bible daily and learning how you pray the way He taught the disciples how to pray. Jesus gave instructions on how to pray in the Gospel of John in chapter 14:13-16 and chapter 15:16.

God Himself, invites us in the New Testament, in the book of Hebrews, to come boldly to the throne of grace. God truly wants a personal relationship with you.

We are going to share with you how to become born again, the Biblical way and then you can have the confidence that when it is your time to die, that you will already know that you have eternal life, and that you would immediately go to be with the Heavenly Father and Jesus your Lord in Heaven.

QUESTION?
Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God?

THE KEY VERSE FROM THE BIBLE:
“But these are written, that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through His Name.” John 20:31

QUESTION?
Do you know how much God loves YOU?

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Now, let’s personalize this verse by placing your name in the blanks:

“For God so loved ______________(your name here), that He gave His only begotten Son, that (if) _______________ believeth in Him, (then) ______________ should not perish, but ________________ (will) have everlasting life.”

QUESTION?
Do you know that the cancer of the soul, called sin, has touched every human being causing complete separation from God?

“For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23

QUESTION?
Do you realize that sin causes your spirit to die? But, do you also realize that God’s gift of eternal life will cause your spirit to live forever? Have you made your choice?

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23

QUESTION?
Do you know how much God desires your relationship with Himself?

”Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice, and opens the door, I will come into him, and will fellowship with him, and he with me.”
Revelation 3:20

QUESTION?

What is your next step?

Before we can go to the next step we would like to answer these questions that some of you are asking yourself. Perhaps you are saying to yourself……

  • I can be saved by my own good works…to others I am a good person. But the Bible says, “You are saved by grace not works lest any person should boast.”
    Ephesians 2:8-9
  • I can be saved praying to my favorite saint to be saved. But the Bible says… “Jesus said, I am the way the truth and the life, no one can come to the Father but by me”.
    John 14:6
  • I can be saved by relying on my own sacrifices. But the Bible says, “Jesus is the once and for all sacrifice”. No other sacrifice is acceptable.
    Hebrews 7:19-28
  • I can be saved by following the Catholic rituals and ceremonies. But the Bible says, “Jesus said, pick up your cross and follow Me”. Jesus also said, “Why call Me Lord if you do not do what I say.”
  • We need to compare how we think and how we live to God’s rules and regulations, as it is written in the Bible.
    Ephesians 1:17-23.
  • I can be saved by doing what my priest says. But the Bible says, we should obey God first.
    Acts 5:18-21
  • I can be saved by being good during the holy week. But the Bible says…”Our righteousness is as filthy rags”.
    Isaiah 64:6 and Philippians 3:9-10
  • I can be saved by only being baptized. But Jesus says, “You must be born again”.
    John 3:16
  • I can be saved by giving money to the church. But the Bible says in Acts 8:16-24 that we cannot buy God’s gifts or favor with money. Jesus also said, “What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and then loses his soul”? Jesus wants you, not your money. He did not die on the cross for
your money; Jesus died for you.
  • I can be saved by obeying the 10 commandments. But in Galatians chapter three, Paul calls them a foolish people for returning to the law (the 10 commandments) since they have been saved by grace If that were true there would be no need of the New Covenant and for Jesus to die on the cross to pay the price for the New Covenant.
  • I can be saved by repeating again and again the same prayers that my priest taught me to pray. But Jesus said in Matthew chapter 6:7-15 that we should not to use vain repetitions when we pray.
  • I can be saved if I punish myself for my sins. But the teachings of the Bible do not support this. We refer again to the foundational gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul reviews what the gospel is in I Corinthians 15:1-18. The main point is that Jesus is the once and for all final sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins. We are doing unnecessary harm to ourselves and it will have no effect on us in receiving eternal life.
  • I can be saved because “I have God on my heart”. But Jesus said, “Why call me Lord if you do not do the things I ask you to do”.
  • I can be saved by confessing my sins to my priest. But the Bible says that only God Himself can forgive us our sin. "If we confess our sin, God is just to forgive us our sin and He will cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.
    1 John 1:9 and Acts 10:38-43

So, what is the answer? The only answer is, to come to God on His terms, to ask Him to forgive us our sin, and to seek the Lord’s FELLOWSHIP – to seek the Lord’s FIRENDSHIP – to seek the Lord’s COMPANIONSHIP – to seek the amazing and abundantly better life that He has for you. Because…

  • Religion cannot save you.
  • The Priest cannot save you.
  • The Catholic Church you assist OR ANY OTHER CHURCH can’t save you.
  • Confessing your sins to your priest cannot save you.
  • Only Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died for you on the cross can save you.

But then the question remains…..among many churches and religions, how can we receive eternal life and how can we have a relationship with GOD. YOUR BIBLE!!! – YES, YOUR CATHOLIC BIBLE!! – as well as any other Christian Bible says that GOD’s biggest sorrow is, that humans live away from him – doing things that hurt him – and they don’t care about what He says or thinks – they don’t care about God’s opinion and that is what really hurts God’s heart every day. That is what makes God cry for the people He sent His Son to die for on the cross; they reject Him every day.

But today, now that you are reading this, you don’t have to continue living this way and being in danger of not going to Heaven at all.…

  • The Lord feels your pain…
  • The Lord wants to give you a new life….
  • The Lord wants to give you a better life…
  • The Lord wants to give you victory in all areas of you life…
  • The Lord wants to bless you and your family…
  • The Lord wants to bless your friends…
  • But above all…He wants to have a daily relationship with you.

Your Catholic Bible says that the natural man cannot have a relationship with the Lord. But that is not the end of the story. In order to have this salvation and wonderful relationship with God we have been talking about, God sent His only and beloved Son, so that you, me and the whole world, can have a better life in this world now and eternal life with God beginning today.

So, if you think that life is over, I have news for you…your new life can start right now at this very moment. The Lord is waiting for you and he is eager not only to give you a better life and eternal life, but to have a daily relationship with you. How can you have that relationship and new life with God? According to Romans 10:9-13, simply ask Him to be your personal Savior! Tell Him that you are sorry from your heart for living your life without taking into account what He thinks or what He wants. Tell Him that you want to be a new person – that you want to be born again. Tell Him that you want to do the things that please Him, that you want to start a new and better life with Him right now.

How? Just pray this simple prayer with all of you heart:

“Dear Jesus, forgive me for all my sins and save my soul. I repent of my sins and for living away from you.
I ask you to come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. Take control of my life, for I give myself to you
now. Thank you for hearing my prayer and for saving my soul. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.”

Romans 10:13

YOU ARE SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH

For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

ETERNAL LIFE IS PROMISED

I tell you the truth, whosoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.

John 5:24

And this is the testimony; God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
1 John 5:11-12

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
1 John 5:13

But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.
John 1:12
